A curious event has taken place. The resident chef’s works dinner. It was curious because it was great.
Well for four years in his department he has had fairly challenging experiences when they go out for a meal.
Typically the choice of restaurant is a place where there is a big meat attitude. Consequently the vegetarians always seem to be short changed.
So the start of this story began with him suggesting a vegetarian place. I’m not sure how it happened, I’m guessing that it was a combination of the photos he took the last time we were there and reluctance from others to help organise.
He even got the restaurant to open up on their normally closed day to suit one reluctant diner.
But either way 24 people signed up for the event.
There was a lot of scepticism and some persuading.
The evidence is clear.
They polished off the lot.
There was some discussion about what the food actually was as there is a ‘meaty’ theme but it all went very well.
It was also interesting that many of the people had never been to a vegetarian restaurant before so it’s great that they were all so impressed!
