Great Meals

After years of allotmenteering one of my favourite times is when the food starts coming together. And when meals develop, peppered with home grown elements. 

 
This fantastic salad just ‘happened’ that way. It’s full of home grown peas, beetroot leaves and broad beans. 

The dressing is made with our own honey.

 And these beautiful pink potatoes which are pink inside too were harvested this week.   They went well with it. They are small but there’s been so little rain this year that most of our crops are struggling. 
The quiche we had with it was made with eggs from our back yard. 

And afterwards we had a smoothie with home made elderflower and strawberries.
