The ornamental cherry tree peaks too early. In March she was awash with beautiful blooms like a peacock showing off her fine plumage.
People come by in droves to take photos. Stopping off and enjoying all that amazing blossom.
Now she looks like a dull Cinderella, after the ball no ones visiting. She’s all alone.
But the canopy is broad and the leaves are green.
She’s very healthy looking. And what of the maid in her shadow?
Last month I pointed out the statue.
The statue stands in the sloot, or ditch.
She has names and a date.

She’s very sweet. She was relocated into the water some years ago after several instances of vandalism. She’s not looking bad for fifty one.

Your tree is lovely in shape and canopy…and what a wonderful spot overlooking the water and that adorable statue.

The girl is looking great for 51! 😉 And after haveing suffered instances of vandalism, even more so. I like the cherry tree in summer, too. It is splendid in full bloom in March, sure, but a lush green tree has its charm, too.

She’s a sweetie. It’s cool when birds land on her too.
