Noord Hollandse Duinreserve

The sand dunes are very important in The Netherlands. They play their part in keeping the waves at bay and diffusing the strong winds over the flat lands.

So much of Holland is below sea level that they are an essential part of the landscape.

They are created and maintained but they are now an eco system of their own.

Consequently, they’ve become an area of natural beauty.

To help maintain these areas there are now schemes to create nature reserves. This machine is a ticket machine for all adults entering the park.

These are bridal paths for riders and information boards. It’s s great way to recognise this green space.

What a great idea!

That sounds great for Holland. Protecting the planet and own country together!
