The 7th May was full of distractions. A UK general election for one thing.
Almost forgot my tree post. Luckily it’s a week of posting time. Phew!
The tree has of course lost the glorious white blossom now. Her foliage is less impressive than it was but she’s still beautiful.
I have found it hard that she doesn’t bear fruit either. It seems lousy that the display of last month is so, well, fruitless I guess.
Ornamental cherry trees must be accustomed to that.
Here she is.
Her ceramic companion stands by still feeding that bird. I love the composition of this place. I’ve decide to take the photo each month on the same spot if I can.
The artist is called Zuiderwijk. I must find out more about this statue.
