Follow that Tree: May 2015

The 7th May was full of distractions. A UK general election for one thing.

Almost forgot my tree post. Luckily it’s a week of posting time. Phew!

The tree has of course lost the glorious white blossom now. Her foliage is less impressive than it was but she’s still beautiful.

I have found it hard that she doesn’t bear fruit either. It seems lousy that the display of last month is so, well, fruitless I guess.

Ornamental cherry trees must be accustomed to that.

Any way.

Here she is.

Less distinctive than she was a month ago.

Her ceramic companion stands by still feeding that bird. I love the composition of this place. I’ve decide to take the photo each month on the same spot if I can.

The statue was moved into the water at the suggestion if a local resident after a number of occasions when she was damaged.

The artist is called Zuiderwijk. I must find out more about this statue.

A strikingly different location from your last-year’s tree. And its life cycle, no doubt, will be a contrast too.

I do like the tree that you are following as well as the statue beneath it. Tell us about it, if you can find out more. Greetings!
