The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.

Creature in obscure location

This grill covers an entrance to a shaft. The shaft leads to disused access tunnels in the WWI German front line trenches in Belgium. They’re in the section of the front lines where the Messine ridge lay.

Under that grill, oblivious to the heavy history, two wee frogs sit on a mossy lump. They have a nice place with water safe from predators. It’s not clear if they can ‘escape’.

A curious site amongst this somber scene.

Two little frogs.

Agree with quercus – well spotted, but the extra context is fascinating.
Nature abhors a vacuum eh … and rushes to fill it.

I hope they’re safe in there. They look it and yes, nature gets in everywhere and rightly so! Lovely pictures.
