The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.

While I was away

Following a tree is great. Except when she does her finest while I’m away.

How gorgeous is that?

Unbelieveable.

Lovely! But sad that the cherry blossom always lasts for such a short time and then blows away like confetti…

I’ve had that same feeling, having just been away, except it’s leaves rather than blossom on the crab apple tree!

My tree is a maiden so I doubt I’ll get any fruit this year but I am looking forward to crab apple jelly in the future 🙂

It’s fantastic. We make crab apple and chilli jelly every year from our neighbours tree. They thought the fruit was decorative!

Well, great that they give them to you!

When I was a kid, I was told that crab apples were poisonous – maybe they meant tart and I misunderstood but it is only as an adult I learned they are edible.

Yes. Great to find out that it’s not true.
