The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.

Flower of the Day

It was one of those times when I had the right photo and had an inspiration from Cee’s Photography Blog

So here it is.

A gorgeous dwarf iris.

It’s been a great day at the allotment involving about five kilos of Jerusalem Artichoke and a digging hunt for them as they are prolific and illusive and meanwhile I cut back a bramble, pruned the plum tree and cut back an unwanted tree on the new plot.

Not one for diary entries but hey spring is coming.

I love irises; hard to believe you’ve got one already!

Charming! Beautiful. Unexpected…. I would work marvelously in a series I had in mind but never had the wherewithal to actually do …. “Bloom Where You Are Planted” – close shots of different flowers, followed by longer shots placing them in their unlikely/unsuspected locations – crack in the sidewalk, high in a tree, one of hundreds of identical ones, etc. (I would LOVE it if someone would take this idea and run with it!)

That’s a brilliant idea. I might just try that. I’m currently in a place where there are quite a few possible flowers for that. Let’s do it!
