Out of the mouths of babes…

Rubbish!

It’s everywhere.

What happens to it? Do we know? Do we care?

Here’s an informative and well described film about the process that comes from the county where I was born.

It’s so easy to toss various things in the various reciprocal a in our houses, and workplaces and forget all about it.

Someone will take it away.

It’s so important to try and reduce the amount of rubbish that we generate.

And to try to ensure that the rubbish we create is disposed of appropriately.

We sort glass, paper, green kitchen waste (much of which goes to the hens or the worms) and plastic. All of these can be recycled.

The other household waste is one small bin. Metals are sorted by the waste plant.

I know it’s a lot of bins but it’s my responsibility.

It’s cathartic sorting the different items of waste. Helps me keep tabs on exactly what’s wasted and then to reuse it the best way possible.

We have single-stream recycling in my town – no sorting. I just shoveled through about 50 feet of snow to get to my compost bin. Ths old oranges were beginning to smell!

Reblogged this on Ideas Of Mass Destruction and commented:
This machines if absolutely amazing!!! Every county should have one, and there is no reason why they should not!

If people campaign and make an effort to recycle as well as requesting this machine when your local MP comes round this month begging for your vote it could happen.
