The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.
Sometimes it’s just great to stand back and take in the view.
One of my favorite spots to do this is Brighton Pier in the UK.
While there on a recent visit we planned to take in the sunset.
There’s something very special that happens there too.
Every evening around dusk a huge gathering of starlings.
The starlings are mustering prior to roost. The pier isn’t my ideal spot but the view is.
I also made a film of it of course.
But more to the point, this could be another last chance to see.
According to the RSPB even though the large number of birds in the flock suggest a healthy population the numbers are dropping.
They give some background about this phenomenon.
When in the vicinity you might need a good place to eat. So check out my Iydea post.
Are there any amazing natural events you’ve been lucky enough to witness?
Is there one you wish you had seen? Or plan to take in one day?
