The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.

If you go down in the woods today….

….you’d better not go alone!

There’s all kinds of things there.

This is a lovely area in our local woods. The intention is to provide an area for children to build dens and shelters.

I took this photo with a tree in the middle to avoid photographing the people in the shelter!

When children come with their families they can move the wood, branches, logs and sticks around.

Fresh materials are provided regularly and existing shelters may be taken down. The local wardens manage the area and provide variety.

So often children don’t have opportunities to get first hand contact with nature and natural things.

Isn’t that a great idea?

Did you succeed in getting #700 follower? I was tempted to unfollow, wait for another 699th, and then hit follow so I could be #700. 😉

A wonderful idea! … anything that encourages children to get closer to nature and explore the out of doors is a good idea in my book. We have had lots of family fun building woodland camps over the years 🙂
