The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.

Get on with it!

Procrastination is a frustrating thing. The art of putting stuff off.

Dithering and delaying.

I don’t really know how it happens but things just don’t get done. There’s often reasons or excuses too. Sometimes they’re plausible.

So without resorting to a New Year’s resolution I’m intending to mend my ways.

I’ve decided that whenever something needs fixing or sorting out I shall try to do it there and then. A drawer that’s overflowing or hard to find something in, a small object that needs a tiny fix to work properly.

I’m going to fix it.

I started already.

Take my sock hanger thingie. It became a clever balancing act when ever I used it because one supporting chain had broken. It seems the plastic links have become brittle.

I only think about it while hanging socks. Then forget until the next wash.

Today I did the socks and went in search of safety pins.

Simple and effective and fixed. Marvellous !

Neat fix. We have a sock-hanger-thingy that melted (don’t ask, because I’m not sure how) and now has one side that curves gently earthwards. We keep right on using it because it still, mostly, works. Unless we risk remelting it, I’m not sure it’s fixable but I’ll entertain any suggestions.

A simple but effective fix for your sock hanger! I am smiling while looking across at my sock hanger here … a willow ring with strings! It works …. mainly!
