Super Easy Vegan Smoothie

20140723-074114-27674160.jpg

Vegan means different things to different people. At the moment I’m not a vegan but I have much respect for vegan life choices and the side benefits.

As I gave up milk in April this year I’m also learning that it’s not difficult to reduce dairy in our lives and yet still enjoy good things.

This treat came about from allotment inspiration.

We had more strawberries!

So simply done.

We used:
Strawberries
Mashed banana
Soya milk

No drama involved.

Blitzed them together in a jug and served.

Exactly, we never have but when you’ve had enough of making jam etc it’s the easiest way to get through the fruit.

Have you ever tried it with frozen banana? It gives it a wonderful smooth texture and makes it a little cold. My favourite breakfast at the moment is frozen banana, soy milk and rice krispie (puffed rice cereal) smoothie. Delicious! Even more so if I’m naughty and add a big spoonful of peanut butter… 🙂

Makes me want to go out and get some soya milk. It has a better consistency for smoothies, I think.
