This weeks trial from Preeti is an interesting one. It’s candid. The suggestion is that we capture a subject that doesn’t know their photo is being taken.
Now I’ve given myself the additional challenge of trying to ensure that any post still has a theme that would work with my blog theme of environmentalism.
So, candid….
What could I photograph that might not know it was in front of the lens.
First stop the back yard. I’ve been given a lens for my iPhone that acts as a remote camera too. It links to my phone by wifi. So this was a great opportunity to use it in a different way.
Those naughty hens get another chance at the limelight.
Do you think they know they’re on camera?
So that was the start of my journey on this challenge but I wasn’t finished yet.
On a short walk near the house I captured this fella through the willow branches. I was quite pleased with this spy hole. So then I found this.
I like the framing of the tree supports.
But I wanted one more back yard shot. Recently I was given a camera lens that works with my iPhone it can be clipped on the front but as it works with it’s own wifi it can also be used as a camera on its own.
Now our back yard has another resident. She’s very elusive but I thought the lens might give me an opportunity.
On Thursday night I waited an hour looking at a blank screen no sign of the visitor I wanted.
Eventually the battery went flat and I had to give up no sign.
On Friday I tried again. It was later so light was a challenge. Within ten minutes I got what I was hoping for.
I think the lens may have done the trick!
What do you think?

Is that… a dormouse? I love them 🙂
Those hens look guilty as hell. What have they been up to??

It’s just a normal field mouse. The hens are always up to no good. Generally plotting ways wi attack my tomato plants, catch said mouse or get in the kitchen!

That mouse is so cute! Love the hen pics too 🙂 The one through the leaves looks a bit stalker-ish – which I also like 😉

Cool shots! I adore the cute field mouse peeping out in your backyard…though the hens seem to be having a good time in front of the lens too. Nice take on the challenge! Thanks for sharing…
Cheers!

What a peep you are! All joking aside, the last shot is worthy of world wide publicity. I see the evidence of vandalism strewn around, but is that the perpetrator acting out of gnawing resentment to society or was he. . . ‘Framed’ ?
