Green Lizard's Blog

The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.

Not just bees but bugs too

The other insects are disgruntled all this stuff about bees. What about the regular critters going about their business?

Don’t they deserve their own spotlight?

This grasshopper with his perfect green camouflage was one star today.

While the ladybirds are very busy sharing their spots.

Yesterday a gorgeous butterfly fluttered across the cold frame to join the party. It’s a Klein vos which means little fox but in English it’s a small tortoiseshell.

Meanwhile her cousin, the big green caterpillar, snuggled into the leaves of the pear tree.

This is a copper underwing caterpillar so it’s a moth!

So it’s not quiet on the bug front at all!
