The planet is our home; we need to be more responsible. Here's what I do.

Stop right there! Put the fork down!

What’s the good of having a delicious dinner if you haven’t got any blog-idence?

Two months ago my life was different.

Food was great.

It was cooked.

It got eaten.

We enjoyed it!

Now I need to share it with the world.

Lithuanian Carrot Salad

You may never eat coleslaw again!

This photo isn’t the most coffee table perfect but is testament to the flavour of its occupying food.

Ignore the delicious broccoli quiche! (Or go here to read the post on it.)

Step away from the bean salad!

I give you……. (drum roll)
My sister in-law’s magical, five ingredient recipe.

Get this together:
One large grated apple
Two grated carrots
One tablespoon mayonnaise
One mashed clove of garlic
One table spoonful roasted pine nuts and/or pumpkin seeds (does that make six ingredients!)

What to do

Mix together in a bowl.

That’s it! But believe me it’s gorgeous! I don’t actually like coleslaw which is lucky cos this bares no resemblance to coleslaw.

Enjoy your Friday evening!

I haven’t gotten to point of photographing dinner but I actually walk around with a notebook now so that when I see something or hear something I can write it down to ponder possible posting value at a later date. Looks nice and like the recipie

I’m enjoying that aspect of this process very much. It nice to find writable or blogable things around me.

It looks delicious! I don’t care for mayo–could Greek yogurt work? That broccoli quiche looks amazing, too!

You should try free yogurt. The key is the combo between apple and carrot. But you can also use very little mayo.

I will love it minus the garlic…garlic doesn’t like me

That’s a shame. I think it would also be good without the garlic.
